Background
As workplaces transition back to in-person collaboration, many employees still cling to work-from-home excuses—some valid, but others more trivial. “My pet needs me.” “I have to wait for a package.” While remote work has its benefits, in-person work fosters creativity, innovation, and meaningful connections that are difficult to replicate virtually.
Insight
Many professionals have grown accustomed to remote work flexibility, but sometimes small excuses hold them back from embracing the opportunities that an office environment provides. The Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) recognizes these concerns but also believes that stepping out of our comfort zones can lead to new ideas, collaborations, and breakthroughs.
Idea
The "Enough Excuses, Get Out and Innovate!" campaign humorously calls out common work-from-home excuses while encouraging professionals to return to the workplace and embrace innovation. Using bold, eye-catching activations across Toronto, the campaign disrupts the daily routine and inspires action.
Execution
The campaign utilizes high-impact advertising placements across Yonge-Dundas to the Waterfront, including rooftop ads, giant balloons, building posters, 3D lenticular street posters, and interactive installations.
Slogan
"Enough excuses, get out and innovate!"
