Insight
As adults, responsibilities and routines can overshadow our innate creativity and playful instincts. Many adults miss the joy of spontaneity and imagination from their childhood, but they often don’t know how to reconnect with it. The longing to return to that sense of wonder is strong, but day-to-day demands create barriers to reclaiming those moments of joy.
Idea
“Lost Neverland” is a whimsical short film inspired by Peter Pan, exploring the delicate balance between adulthood responsibility and childhood wonder. The protagonist, a young office worker, is stuck in a monotonous routine. One day, while rushing to work, she notices a mysterious, glowing store—Flying Tiger Copenhagen. Drawn by its quirky and playful atmosphere, she’s momentarily distracted but hesitates as she hears her boss calling her. Torn between the pull of curiosity and her adult obligations, she ultimately returns to the office. However, her desk has subtly transformed, now adorned with Flying Tiger Copenhagen products, symbolizing the rekindling of her creativity. The experience reminds her that joy and imagination can be rediscovered in the every day, even within the confines of adult life.
Concept
The concept delves into the theme of self-realization as the protagonist wrestles with the tension between childhood innocence and the responsibilities of adulthood. Through a dynamic visual narrative combining 2D and 3D animation with video and scribble effects, we follow her emotional journey of rediscovery. The Flying Tiger Copenhagen store becomes a magical gateway that allows her to embrace her creativity and reconnect with her playful side. This transformation encourages adults to remember the importance of playfulness and imagination, showing that it’s never too late to reconnect with that inner child.
